Terms of Service

Last updated: March 23, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Syncy mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Syncy ("we," "our," or "us") reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Syncy. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon deletion, your profile and associated data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. User Content

Syncy allows you to post song drops, voice notes, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but by posting it on Syncy you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it within the App.

You agree not to post content that:

  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive
  • Contains hate speech or promotes violence against any group
  • Is sexually explicit or exploitative
  • Contains spam, malware, or deceptive content
  • Impersonates another person or entity

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably consider harmful to the Syncy community.

5. Reporting and Moderation

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, you can report it directly within the App or by contacting us at support@syncy.org. We review all reports and take action as appropriate, including removing content and suspending or banning accounts.

You may also block other users at any time through the App to prevent them from interacting with you.

6. Music and Third-Party Content

Syncy enables you to share and discover music through song previews provided by third-party music platforms (such as Spotify and Apple Music). You acknowledge that:

  • Song previews are provided under license from third-party services and are subject to their terms of use
  • Syncy does not host or distribute full-length songs — we link to and preview content from licensed music services
  • You will not use Syncy to circumvent any music licensing or copyright protections

7. Prohibited Conduct

When using Syncy, you agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the App or collect user data
  • Interfere with the App's operation or infrastructure
  • Manipulate the taste graph, feed, or discovery features through artificial means
  • Use the App to harass, bully, or intimidate other users

8. Intellectual Property

The Syncy name, logo, design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by us. You may not use our branding without prior written permission. The App's source code, features, and functionality are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimers

Syncy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any content posted by users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Syncy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Syncy community. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
